Basically the ideal squad here is what you are seeing at the top of Data Sim rankings - 4 burst MGs+Contender. Options here include Contender, CMS, 6P62 (permanently farmable in Cube) or M4A1 Mod 3. For the Typhons themselves, you need something that can move fast and ideally penetrate armor (otherwise the fight lasts.a very long time). The point of MGs here is to fight Typhon formations (giant tanks), but the actual MGs are only for killing the fodder accompanying them. Other options are P90, CMS, Dorothy and probably to a lesser extent RO635. Tragically (for her), this event drops her powercreeping replacement, MP7. For bosses, it is highly recommended to have an SMG ready with high evasion and good uptime, meaning it is finally time for things like Suomi to shine. Due to their ridiculous armor, this is where things like WA2000 and SVD fall off a bit in favor of FP buffers like Lee, SRS, G28, M14. One RFHG for Hydra hunting (think Manticores but with 199 armor and exponentially stronger). You want one or two grenadiers of some form (AR or SMG) here. Because of all the armor, FP buffers are better than RoF ones and someone like G11 in particular falls off here (but she's still usable, especially against large mobs). Here is a handy guide for what to expect and what to generally prepare to just clear the story stages, and here is a guide specifically for the ranking map. Maybe we should talk about preparing for Singularity here because this is where the game gets actually rather challenging and you should know what you're doing in advance. It is regrettable that battles are so chaotic, as everyone fire at the same time, and it make difficult to see which T-Doll keep missing, which one do too little damage against armor, and other such data that help improve your echelon. An Echelon exclusively made of 2* T-Dolls is easy to bring to lv40+ with 15 T-Dolls per echelon. I found out after experimenting that trying to field your 4* and 5* T-Dolls on a week-old account is actually a mistake. The issue is that the first logistic mission that provide a decent amount of it (without needing to repeat it every 30 minutes) is only unlocked after you finish the third chapter. 6 Echelons seems to be the magic number, so you can use two of them in auto missions and four in logistics when you're offline. Uninteresting, unskippable dialogues that just go on and on, obscure rewards whose value is not indicated ingame, and the difficulty level ramp up a bit too quickly. I have a few observations from my newbie POV: I just started playing this game, and I rather like it.
